I'm currently on the market for a new apartment. I currently live in west Akron, and desperately need a safer neighborhood to live. I've looked at Fairlawn, Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, etc and keep finding the same [crime] problems I'm trying get away from...low income and/or section 8 rentals nearby! So now I have my eye on Medina and would like to know where are the low income/section 8 rentals concentrated? Streets, property names, etc would be most helpful. Thanks.

I used to live in Medina, and my sister still does. She recently told me that they are putting ALOT of section 8/low income families near the city square... may be a good idea to stay clear of living there... What a shame.

You may want to check out the Brunswick area. Very little crime there and lots of apartments to choose from (from nice, to not so nice and the pricing fluctuates along with the upkeep.) Almost all of my friends still live in Brunswick and it is a booming little city. I would look into that if I were you.
