Good place to live in between Lordstown & Cleveland (Kent: houses, neighborhoods)

I am looking for a good suburb to live in between Lordstown (husband's job) & Cleveland (my job). We would like good schools as we have a 2nd grader & 4th grader. We realize we will both be commuting so that isn't an issue. Thanks.

Probably Cortland or Champion in Trumbull County. I suppose Stow or somewhere over that way might work???

We were looking more at Hudson, Twinsburg or that direction.

Depends where your job is in Cleveland, to be honest.

Hudson and Twinsburg are good ideas. I was going to suggest Streetsboro, Aurora, Solon, Sagamore Hills, Macedonia and Kent as well.

Some of these areas are suburban, some are more exurban or quasi-rural. Some are newer, some more historical in areas. Some areas have lots of big-box shopping, some don't have much and are more bucolic. Some have a more diverse citizenry than others. Solon, Twinsburg, Hudson are known for very good schools. I guess that it depends on what type of suburb you're looking for :-) good luck. If you give us anymore information on what you're looking for in a suburb we could help more

Hudson and Twinsburg are the two I was going to suggest. Both are very nice towns with excellent schools.

What part of Cleveland do you work in? I know a lot of people that work in Solon, Independence and the area along Rt 271 that live near me.

I think Hudson, Streetboro and Twinsburg are probably the most logical depending where you work.

Most likely at one of the hospitals in Cleveland. I did see Macedonia but then was concerned because Hills schools looked like they cut some programs. So I am not sure if that is a good option. My husband wants to have good access to the toll road to go into the GM plant.

Streetsboro? You have the Turnpike right there. I think it's around 25 miles from the Streetsboro exit to the Lordstown one.

I've driven through it countless times, but I don't know too much about it. Looks like a nice place, and there's a good amount amenities along 14. Plus, you have 480 right there for easy access to Cleveland.

I believe that Macedonia is in the Nordonia school district? Right?

Yes it is Nordonia Hills schools district. When I typed it the Nordonia fell off- dumb iphone. I am leaning away from Streetsboro only because I heard the schools were not as good. I did however find Aurora last night & the schools are pretty good.

Right now I am looking at Hudson, Twinsburg & Aurora (maybe Solon). They all have good schools (which is very important to me). What are the differences between these areas?

I know housing is more expensive for the square footage in Hudson & Solon (Solon looks like they have older houses) & I think taxes are more.

Also does anyone know of any new construction in these areas? I would be interested in new neighborhoods- those are harder to find out online when searching.
