Ridgewood Castle Apartments Canton (Green: rental, crime, neighborhood)

I feel kind of stupid asking this since I live in St Charles Court right around the corner from Ridgewood Castle, but does anybody know anything about that neighborhood? The way that it sits back off of Market its almost as if it is its own little world up there. Im wanting to move out of my current complex due to new management which has caused this place to have more empty apartments than full ones. Im wanting to know about the safety and possible crime issues in Ridgewood Castle if there are any. St Charles Court where I live now is between Cherry and Spring in NE Canton so I can tolerate some crime issues but does anybody know if Ridgewood is better or worse? Is there gunfire on a nightly basis up there or just occasional like it is over here? anything else you can tell me would be great as well

I realize my response to your question is late, but I felt it was worth posting anyway. I've lived in the Market North Corridor for about 10 years now, so I am very familiar with Ridgewood Castle. I have heard many negative stories about life there. One of our best friends lived in Ridgewood Castle and unfortunately was the victim of a very serious crime. That's not to say that all of the residents there will experience something so awful. Either way, I would be cautious. You might try to ask some residents if you see them outside?

I am unfamiliar with the rental rates at Ridgewood Castly. My wife and I had very good experiences living in Greentree properties on Market Ave, right by the fire station. The owner and maintenance were attentive and friendly. I thought the rent prices were reasonable when we lived there (450 for our 1-1/2 bedroom apartment). We've since moved on, but I still think of it warmly.
