Would Anyone in Canton Help Me Out?
I have a big favor to ask any of you living in Canton.
Would someone here be willing to go check out 1 or two places that are available for rent and snag some photos for me?
I am looking at Windsor Place and Vienna Woods Rental
Unless you have heard bad things about them....

I would be happy to take some pictures of these properties for you. I don't know any other information about them though. I did check where they were located in google maps though.... Im not sure how much you know about the area. Windsor place is in Belden Village which is the busiest shopping area in the Canton Area. It is just a few blocks from the mall, which has its advantages but also a whole lot of traffic. Vienna woods are in the southwest end of Canton which is a very mixed picture. There is a bit of industrial, including warehouses, etc. There are low income properties, as well as nicer homes and quite a few highway overpasses. Let me know any specific photo requests and ill check out the surrounding areas. I think Belden is probably better, but wont feel much like a neighborhood. Also I live in NE Canton and as much flack as it gets, i have had a good experience.

Thank you very much
hmm in Vienna Woods is in the not so great neighborhood, I don't know if I should consider it. I have a 9 month old I need to think about. I just liked the fact that it was an actual home rather than an apartment
Windsor is still ok (at least for me) I love Belden Village since I am a shopoholic and I used to shop there all the time. Not sure how husband would feel about it, but I would love it if you wouldn't make snagging some photos for me.
Do you have any other suggestions as far a nice apartment, condo, townhouses or even houses that may be for rent in the nicer less crime areas of Canton?
Thanks again.. I owe you somehow

Ok, I will take some pictures soon. I really dont know that Vienna woods is that bad, parts of south Canton can be alright so i will still take photos of both. I guess nice all depends on price. Neighborhood wise, Canton is ok on N Market street from 19th and up. There are some newer rentals above 30th and Market North. North Canton is nicer and more expensive. To the west of Canton, Perry Township is nice. It has better schools and is more suburban that inner city Canton. Jackson is North west of Canton, Its nice and has a whole lot of newer apartments. Deville is a prominent owner of newer apartments, maybe look some of those up? Also Green, Ohio is just North of the airport and about 10-15 minutes out of Canton, it has a reputation as a very nice city.

Ok, I took some pictures of all three places. My general impressions of them are that they were all reasonably clean and well maintained, the grass was cut and the sidewalks were clean and in good shape etc.
Vienna Woods:
This is the newest looking of all of them. It's nice that you get an entire house with a private garage instead of just a unit. For a kid it has nice new sidewalks, a full sized private yard and one common area slide thing. I also suspect that there are more familys / seniors in this community since they are full size homes. The surrounding area is a little further south then I origionally thought so its not as gloomy as I had said. There are mostly decent homes with some rough ones here and there. Its about 7 minutes south of downtown and is near a main road with fast food, some businesses and grocery stores. All and all its not so bad, I always felt that the south end felt a little cut off from Canton, but its really only 5-7 minutes, through some not so pretty areas. Downtown canton is experinancing alot of renovation, it still has room for progress but there are a lot of festivals and things to go to there like the blues fest, first friday (every first friday of every month)
Colonial club:
Probably more dated exterior of the 3. It has sort of a townhowse feel with multiple types of exterior materials. There doesnt appear to be any coverd parking with these, just parking spaces by the unit you live in. Most of the porches were clutter free, some had some trash out. I like these buildings the least, but the area the best. It is off of 44th street North of Canton behind a high school that has recently been put out of use. The area is more suburban in feel with a good amount of trees and nicely kept (nothing fancy) homes. Just 2 minutes down 44th street is is a large grocery store on cleveland ave, and to the north about 5 minutes is downtown North Canton. North Canton is small, but traditionally much nicer.
Windsor place:
Windsor is in the middle of Belden Village, the main shopping center for Canton. Belden is home to dozens and dozens of chain restaruants, car dealerships, strip malls etc. I wouldnt call Belden village a beautiful shopping area, but its not that bad. Windsor place is off of the street a good bit, and they did plant alot of trees, so it feels more like a community than I thought it would. All of the buildings form a circle around a common are with a nice swimming pool (now just a chunk of ice). Windsor place has some kind of lack luster parking structures, but it at least provides a roof for your car. The buildings look like they are kept up as well as the grounds. Some downers are the Saturn dealership really close to the front (youll proabably hear the speakers when they need a salesman), and the highway is really close along the back of the property. There is a sound wall, but you can still definatly hear traffic, and I imagine the higher up you are, the more you hear and see of it.
Im going to attach pics in a seperate message. It may take a while, I use dial-up

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!
I think Vienna Woods may be the place for us since it isn't actually right smack dab in the city and I like that it is an actual house (I do wish there was a pool however, but no big deal)
Is there anything I can do to repay you- send gas money, something??
