Whoa! Water and sewage are roughly $120 every two months, so it is about the same, no difference there. We go to Vegas all the time, we are five hours drive from there and I have family there as well, but the electricity is outrage, there is only summer and July there also.
In your opinion, what would be better living: Orrville, Kidron, Dalton, Apple Creek, or Massillon? (example, homes for rent, school, hospital, etc...my wife is in the medical field)

I can't answer your puestion about better living. Massillon is the largest community, with about 31,000 people. Next is Orrville with about 8600, and the others aren't even mentioned on city-data's list of Oho cities.
I think all the schools are OK. Though Massillon has a great football tradition that some think overshadows its academics.
You'll probably find more homes for rent in Massillon, only because it's the largest community in your list.
In my opinion, they're all great communities. (though I've never been to Apple Creek) You'll have the most "city" atmosphere in Massillon. The others have quaint, small downtowns, but are really just villages.

Even though you've been a coach for 16 years, i don't think anything can prepare you for Massillon. Those people down there are crazy about their high school football. I mean psycho............the booster club gives footballs to all the newborn boys in Massillon when they are born. They also have a live Tiger at all of their games.
From Wikipedia:
Quote:
In Ohio and elsewhere, the name Massillon is probably most associated with the Massillon Washington High School football team, the Tigers. Distinguished Massillon alumni include Paul Brown and The Ohio State University graduate and NFL veteran linebacker Chris Spielman. The Tigers are historically one of the winningest high school football teams in the United States, second only to the Valdosta High School Wildcats, in Valdosta, Georgia. Along with the Canton McKinley High School Bulldogs, the Tigers represent one half of what many consider to be the greatest high school football rivalry in the nation.[citation needed] Both Massillon and their fierce rivalry with Canton are subjects of the documentary film Go Tigers!, and numerous websites such as MASSILLONPROUD.COM - Site for Massillon Tigers Football, Sports, News, and Fun! and BeatMckinley.com - The Massillon Tigers Lair - Massillon Tiger Football, News, Pictures, Chat, Scores and more.
While the first players known to be paid to play football are believed to have played for club teams in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, perhaps the first great professional football rivalry was between the Massillon Tigers and Canton Bulldogs from 1903-1906. This rivalry pre-dated both the NFL and the aforementioned rivalry between the Massillon and Canton high schools which continue to use the nicknames of these early professional teams. The Professional Football Researchers Association (PFRA) web site (Professional Football Researchers Association) includes outstanding articles on this rivalry year by year, as well as numerous articles spanning the origins of football through the 1970's.

Don't be fooled by that winningest football stat, they're good, but not THAT good. Massillon hasn't won a state championships since before the playoffs started in the early 70s.

Haha, I didn't say I was going to take them over, but I am associated with some of the Nation's winniest Football traditions here at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana. If I do move there you can bet I will be there supporting the Football program and watching my step son play. This kid is 5'9" 250 lbs and in 7th grade, can't wait to see another kid go through the ranks.
CortlandGirl79, even though I haven't moved there yet I'm already excited

Hey, that's cool, i love high school football myself. You'll find that NE Ohio and Western Pa have great high school tradition. I don't know if we're as crazy as Texas, but it's pretty close. Even if you don't move to Massillon, your stepson may be recruited at that size!!!!
You might want to check out JJHuddle's Ohio High - Ohio High School Sports Stuff to check out the high school football talk. Click on the Football North forum.

Are you asking what i'm like or what the area demos are?????
If you're asking about me: 29/Single, no kids, never married, still looking for mr.right! haha!
I really don't know that much about football, just the basics. I couldn't tell you what defense someone is running or anything like that. All i know is that when i was in high school we went to games just about every friday night. It's really the only thing to do on a friday when you're a teenager, besides, our football team was really good throughout my high school career.
Anyway, my parents both grew up in Warren, Ohio and went to rival high schools (Warren Harding vs. Warren Western Reserve), the schools have since combined due to population loss. If you've heard of the Browner brothers (Denver i believe), Korey Stringer, Maurice Clarett (blah), or Paul Warfield (Dolphins/Browns), then you've probably heard of Warren. I grew up w/my dad telling me stories about how good Warren football was in the early 70s. He was also always talking about Warren's rivalry w/Massillon back in the day. It's kind of a long story..........
Anyway, I guess it comes down to me being interested in the history of our area. Plus, it's fun to go to Division 1 games and watch a lot of future Big Ten players. Sometimes if we're lucky that talent goes to The Ohio State University and we can continue to cheer for those kids at the college level. Unfortunately, it seems like Warren has a pipeline to Ann Arbor (Prescott Burgess, Mario Manningham, etc.). Boo!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, hope that answered your question. Have a great day~!

Haha, I hope you didn't think I was getting personal, I was trying to find out if you were a soccer mom, team mom for football with a family, etc. lol By reading your post it sounded like you were very much involved in your area, and since I coach football I was going to ask you about Pop Warner, or youth football in the area as I may want to coach.
