Default Cleveland relo -Looking for more opinions on Twinsburg Area

Moving from St Louis in August , Looking for kid friendly , good schools , with upper middle class neighborhoods and somewhat newer homes or new . Was not impressed with the homes in Solon in our price range, so we looked in Twinsburg over the weekend . Need to stay in between Shaker Heights and Akron area . Northern Summit County seems to be the best location for our jobs . Thanks in advance for any feedback . If you are in Twinsburg or other nearby towns , we are looking for feedback on subdivisions as well .

Take a good look at Macedonia and Sagamore Hills as well. If you have the bucks and don't want to deal with a large yards, Eaton Estates in Sagamore is nice.

If you're open to paying less for a house and paying for private schools, consider Walton Hills.

Twinsburgs home prices are still a bit inflated. Check out Stow (10 miles south). It's a bigger city, more restaurants and shopping, easy access to Rrt 8.

Another area to consider might be Aurora.

I live in Twinsburg. We relocated 3 years ago from NY and are on the move again to MD. Twinsburg is a nice communtiy of about 20,000 people. Every year there is a Twins Days festival that gets twins in from all over the country. What I like best is that people are very nice. There is a large transient population so it is easy to make friends with neighbors. There is a nice indoor soccer and basketball arena which is great for winter months. The weather isn't as bad as it is at the lakefront.

What I dislike is the crowded classrooms (25 per room elementary) and the fact that there are only a couple of grades per school. The positive is that the superintendant is a graduate of Twinsburg and he really cares about the system.

There are some nice new subdivision up by Liberty Road...don't know the names. Ethans Green is nice and on a golf course, but the houses are pretty cookie cutter and don't have big yards. Twinsburg Township/Hudson mailing (where I live) has some new developments. Bradford Oaks, Bradford Park, Twin Oaks and a couple others further down Twinsburg Rd.

Hope this helps
