Living in Hudson, I can say that our family LOVES it here! Like everybody else stated, it's clean, quaint, excellent schools, nice shopping and restaurants, and a strong sense of community. There's always something to do in or around town, especially in with the many festivals, weekly music on the green, weekly farmer's market, surrounding parks, etc. To touch on the above post, yes, you will find money here, but my family certainly isn't in the higher Hudson class and have never been looked down on or made to feel uncomfortable. Of course, there will always be a few that like to "act the part", but people work hard for their money here and take pride in their town. The nice, "normal" people FAR outweigh the "snooty" ones. HTH and good luck!

Hudson can be a little yuppie, but that is not a bad thing for a lot of people. Prepare to pay a lot in taxes and about 15% more for your home for the privilege of living there. There is really not a lot bad to say about Hudson outside of that.

Hudson is very nice, very safe, very white and most of all VERY expensive.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great area but I think the value of the property is inflated, in part, by the fact that for many, the reason they live there is solely to be able to tell others that THEY live in Hudson.

Default re: Hudson

I work in Hudson and it's quite the jem lol (being sarcastic)

Um...expensive. In my experiences, uppity (but whatever), and suburban with an old-school charm. Did I mention expensive? I think it gets cheaper towards the outer rims of the city.

I, personally, don't think there is all that much to do here in Hudson. There is a central shopping area called 'First and Main', which contains places like Talbot's, Coldwater Creek, Ann Taylor Loft, Cold Stone Creamery, Aladdin's Eatery, Heinen's (grocery store-a high end version) and "quaint", "cute", little specialty stores. So darling. (barf) lol

Anyway, take a look at Howard Hanna's website, for example, for homes. One zip code you can go by is 44236. Go into the Akron/Canton region. Real Estate in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Harrisburg, Akron, Canton, Erie, Youngstown, West Virginia, New York - Howard Hanna Real Estate

I guess it depends on what you want to spend, what your personality is and what type of people you want to have to live around. I do hear the schools are decent. 10 minutes or so from the freeway. Buuuut that's it. No fireworks or stupendous words for the place altho people who live there make sure it's known that they are residents.
