Default Hudson School Questions

It looks like we will be relocating to the Akron area and are considering Hudson. We are being offered 6 months temporary housing, and are considering doing that before buying a home. My biggest concern about that is the fact that my ds is starting Kindergarten in the fall - I don't want to start him in one school when we are in temp. housing, and then move him when we buy a house - BUT - from what I read, I think the elementary school system in Hudson may be structured differently than I am used to. I am not sure if I am understanding it correctly - do ALL the Kindergarteners from all around Hudson go to the same school? (aka, they are not "neighborhood schools") I have never heard of that before in the 3 states that I have lived in, but in our position, it would work out great. I imagine that there is a bit of a commute involved then - from what I have read, Hudson is 25 square miles, and with people from all over the city going to a particular graded school, how is traffic during school drop off hours (or are there buses?). If you have to drop off, it must be nuts for parents with several children going to a bunch of different schools each morning. I am rambling now, but I would appreciate any info on these types of school details (I know how great the schools are already!).
PS: Also, is there any type of indoor pool in Hudson - a gym, a YMCA or anything like that - living in S. Fla, the kiddos are used to year round swimming
Thanks so much!

Here is the overview on the kinder and how it works.

Hudson is not that big & it is also an area that has a lot of kids attend private schools in the area.

It is a GREAT area. We relocated from SWFL to NEOH & Hudson was on our short list. You will not be disappointed.

There is a major park system in the area.

Sorry, can't tell you about the rec situation, but I am sure there are things in & around Hudson.

It is my understanding that there are 1 or 2 elementaries each with K-2, and then 3-4, etc. I did not live in Hudson, but the next town over in Stow. You will like Hudson, it's a charming little village.
I believe the new high school (awesome) has a pool which may have community programs in the summer. When we lived nearby, there was a swimclub called Leisure Time down the road from Hudson. It's been awhile since I've lived near there, but in general I can tell you that the Hudson kids want for nothing, so there is no doubt a kid's program for anything you could possibly want nearby.

Hudson Schools are the BEST!! They have the best test scores and overall best kids around. Hudson is well respected by ALL Colleges. Over 95% of the students attend a 4 year university. Hudson has great sports teams as well and Hudson is THE BEST!!! It is alot better compared to stow and falls.
