glasshouses is on a distinguished road
Default Massillon Area Residents

-------- Please read and act on this today, October 14. It is the day of decision for the cell phone tower and this is the moment to tell them you don't want a cell phone tower in this area of school and houses. ---------

Attention Neighbors of Gorrell Elementary School in the Northwest area of Massillon, WARD 5:

TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO PREVENT THE T MOBILE CELL PHONE TOWER FROM BEING FORCED UPON US! The deadline for a decision is October 15- tomorrow, Wednesday.

T Mobile has been trying for over a year to have their 170 FEET HIGH built on the area of Gorrell Elementary School.

That's reckless and dangerous to the stability of the ground, due to this area having underground mines working in the past. The tower will have to be sunk into the ground to withstand heavy winds. Old mine shafts will probably be disturbed. Do you want your house or your neighbor's house affected by this?

It's also a monstrosity no matter how much it is disguised in greenery, as a T Mobile spokesman said it would look like a tree.

Not the least important, but Very Important is that this tower will be near the children and employees of the school.

When the time comes to sell your home, do you think a buyer will pay extra for a tower in their sightline or do you think they will take one look at the tower and drive to the next house on their list?

PLEASE PHONE, VISIT, EMAIL whatever you can do to stop this tower from being constructed in the neighborhood. Time is of the essence.

Several articles in The Independent can be looked up to get verification if you want further info.

HERE IS A LIST OF PEOPLE TO IMMEDIATELY CONTACT TO VOICE YOUR CONVICTIONS AND OPPOSITION TO THE CELL PHONE TOWER:

Mayor Cicchinelli, 330-830-1700, Email: mayor@massillonohio.com

Michael Loudiana, 330-830-1701

Law Director Perry Stergios, 330-830-1718, Email: pstergios@massillonohio.com

WARD 5 Councilman
Donnie Peters, Jr., 330-832-5424, Email: ward5@massillonohio.com

President of City Council, Glen Gamber, 330-837-0389 Email: councilpresident@massillonohio.com

IMPORTANT TO CONTACT THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS:
Dr. John Mc Grath, 330-830-3900 EXT 50117
Email: jmcgrath@massillon.sparcc.org

Go to the Massillon town website for more names, phone numbers, and emails to contact those who we have elected, to ask of and if not demand that they work for us to stop the construction of this tower: massillonohio.com/

The article in The Independent of October 3, stated that letters went out to area residents to show up for a discussion. Did you receive a letter?

Together we can stop this tower in this neighborhood. Let's put the tower where it is not infringing on homes, school, and neighbors. Put it in a place
away from people. Surely there is a location, industrial or field, or other place of business where it will be acceptable. NOT HERE!

(Someone has flagged this on craigslist, so the message has not gotten out to the people in the area. My neighbors said that they did not receive a letter and they do not want the tower, they think it's a done deal since they were not notified. It's not a done deal as of today.)
