Default Apartment search in Canton

Hello everyone, I am moving to the Canton, OH area this summer for work, and I was hoping for some help with my apartment search.

I will be fresh out of college, so I am looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment in a nice area (I was thinking around North Canton). Being younger and having grown up in decent-sized cities in Michigan (Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor), I would prefer to live somewhere that was a little busier and not really far into the country or anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction to look, websites or apartment complexes to check out? How about which areas would seem to suit my needs.

Thanks for the help!

I agree... look near Belden Village. Now, Belden Villiage is the name of the mall there, but everyone calls the surrounding area Belden. Also, down the road from Belden (about 2 minutes... if there's traffic about 10 minutes) is The Strip. Another shopping area. There are apartments all by The Strip, & I'm sorry to say that I don't know the names of any of them! My friend lived on Batton Street in N. Canton.... there's a bowling ally on Whipple Ave which is right at the end of Batton. There are plenty of nice apartments around there. Also, look near Applegrove Road & Pittsburgh Ave (might be called Mayfair, depending on who you ask & where you look). I think Liberty Lane also has apartments. Sunset Strip (near the strip) I think is the name of the road with the apartments. I'd call a Realtor & ask them to help you locate some apartments there. I hope this helps you! LOTS of restraunts & nightlife with in a 5 minute drive.

Thanks for the replies! The Remington St. townhomes seem quite nice. Does anyone else know of any newer, nice apartments/townhomes in the North Canton area that I could check out (websites and pics would be especially helpful, since I can't actually go see them right now). Does anyone know about the Bob-O-Link Apartments, through Westgate Mgmt?

Thanks again.

You could always try the local papers...

The Akron Beacon Journal www.ohio.com or the Canton Repository www.cantonrep.com

There is always Applegate Management, they have a number of properties its www.applegatemgmt.com .

Good Luck!!

Bob-O-Link apartments seemed to have a good reputation in the area. They are right near the Sanctuary Golf Course off of Applegrove on the north side of North Canton. There is a newly constructed trail nearby that adjoins to a park and Washington Square shopping center as well. You'd be 5 minutes or so from the strip and about 10 from Belden Village.
