Your children would probably attend Kent City Schools. The school system has a very good special education program from pre-school through high school. My son has Down Syndrome and attended Kent Schools from elementary through high school We were very pleased with the quality of the services he received, and with the care and commitment of his teachers. You might also want to get some information about the Portage County board of MR/DD. However, if your children would be best served by that system, they would still need to be enrolled first as Kent students, and the Kent system would arrange their enrollment in Happy Day School, the county school for children who have developmental disabilities.
