In Stow
1. Heron Springs is right off Route 8 N/S in Stow (Graham Rd. exit) and about 15 minutes from downtown:

2. Wyndham Ridge is also in Stow off Rt. 8 N/S (Steels Corners Rd. exit - about 15-20 minutes from downtown):

3. Bridgewater Park, Stow, off Rt. 8 N/S as well (Steels Corners Rd. exit):

In Cuyahoga Falls
Forest Ridge Luxury Apartments in Cuyahoga Falls is also of Rt.8 N/S and is about 5-10 mintes from downtown:

OK, well, these are probably the best of the best right in the immediate area. There are probably more but these are what are off the top of my head at the moment. Bridgwater Park in Stow is probably the newest complex in the area. The rest are all atleast 5 years old but they are super nice-esp Heron Springs. Hopefully all of the links will work for you. I am filled with apartment knowledge, etc. about this area, so if you need more info, just let me know.....

West Akron Living
Nice place West Akron/Highland Square, though we live in New Mexico now. Our house for sale is within walking distance to Highland Square. Or downtown. Nice deep backyard we used to entertain it. Not a whole lot of crime there, everybody watches out for each other in that neighborhood and report everything to the cops. Thats how you keep it in check. I DONT miss the bums calling me Sir! Sir! Sir! Then a lame story of trouble and despair followed by..."so could I HAVE a dollar?" while I'm pumping gas at the Holland Oil Station...

I lived in Wyndham Ridge. Not expensive, newish, clean, not noisy. The buildings are cheaply constructed; your neighbors will likely not like your choice of movies or music, no matter the genre.
Traffic in Stow can get bad.

Yeah, Route 8 can sometimes not be the greatest, but righ now 77 N/S on the Fairlawn/Akron stretch isnt that spectacular either, with all the construction. But, I believe they are widening it to 3 lanes in that area, so hopefully that will limit the Ridgewood/Miller and Mull Ave/White Pond Drive accidents - and make for smooth sailing.

Info re apt
[ My electric runs me $14 in the winter and about $30 in the summer with my window A/C unit. Heat is free!! It's radiant, so you would find yourself cracking the windows in the winter because it gets sooo warm. If you don't mind saying, which building is it with the radiant heated floors (I am always cold). Thanks.

Akron -Manning Ave area
Hello,
I would appreciate some opinions regarding living in
the Manning Ave area in Akron. It's located between
Russell and Parkdale.
Would you live there?
Thank you for any feedback or suggestions.
