You're only 18?! You're a young one! I thought you were older.
Did you try any retail establishments?
You're a boy - do you like cars? Try Summit Racing Equipment in Tallmadge. Sometimes they are hiring for Customer Service (in Retail). Starting pay is $8.75. Atleast it was when I worked there 4 years ago.

No, I'm not into all that alpha male crap, so dealing with cars isn't my thing. All that nacho macho crap weirds me out.
I work at Mcdonald's in my home town right now, so I'm thinking about applying to one of the restaurants within walking distance of my apartment once I move in.
Does the Highland Square Theater hire often?
As it sits right now, I'm getting a full ride at Akron, but I still need money for living. Any good restaurants to work at in the area(within walking distance)?

I wouldn't limit myself to places within waling distance. You could always take the bus to a job further down Exchange. Also, there is a McDonald's on Exchange not to far from Highland Square, maybe you could transfer? Oh, and you could apply for an on campus job.

I'm not into other men and I don't have back hair I was just thinking thats probably not the best way to phrase your post! Unless you really are willing to do anything. If so then go to your local street corner with some nice high heels on. I'm sure you will get a few takers.

You see, I'd do that, but there's two things stopping me from whoring myself out on the street:
a) There's no way I could walk in high heels. I'm just not man enough.
b)You never know what kind of trash you will pick up when you do it that way. I'd rather do internet pre screening. As long as the girl is smaller than me(that is, as long as she's not over 6'1 and 200 pounds) then there's no way she could kidnap me. It's a win-win.
Edit: For part b, read: no fat chicks

Lol that's ok Im 29 going on 20 lol
It's not really dealing with cars - its more dealing with people. You just have to handle car parts (ie giving the parts to the customer). But, if that's not your thing, then that's cool.
I kind of doubt the theater is ever really hiring. If you have a bike, you could always ride down to Wallhaven (its the neighborhood right down from us on W.Market). You could probably take the bus down there too. There are the following food-related places within that area:
Donato's Pizza
Robek's (smoothies)
Einstein Bagel Bros.
McDonalds
Swensons
Arby's
Nervous Dog Coffee Bar
Zacks' Frozen Custard
Quizno's
Subway
Caribou Coffee
Pizza Hut
KFC
Burger King
Market Street Cafe (THEIR WEBSITE SAYS THEY ARE HIRING BTW) Market Street Cafe - Serving Akron Chicago-style sandwiches, pizza, pasta, salads, and wraps.
I'm sure I forgot one or two, but what I listed is the majority. Hope this helps out

why limit yourself to walking distance? use the bus line east &west out of high. sq. you could work as far west as summit mall or montrose. (does the bus line go to montrose?)
