Seeking "Old-School" Mechanic.
Remember the neighborhood mechanic your father liked and trusted? He was honest. Value-priced. No-frills. And got the job done right? That's the type of mechanic I seek.
New to Canton area. Seeking recommendations. Thanks for your help. Happy Motoring!

Bush's in North Canton used to be reasonable in their pricing and their work was fine. I haven't been there in probably 6 or 7 years though, but I can't imagine it's changed much. If you aren't sure where to start I would say give them a shot and see how you like it. It's a family owned spot.

I don't know of any in Canton, but if you're willing to drive a bit, All-Rite in Wooster is the BEST old school mechanic I've ever been to. The panel on the underside of my car was hanging off and a mechanic around Kent (where I was living at the time) quoted me $900 to fix it "right". Well, All-rite may not have fixed it in the way that that guy was going to, but they did it for I think $15 or $20, so yeah, I was definitely a satisfied customer.

If you want a guy in Medina County, I've got a name. He works out of a barn behind his house.

I'll second Bush's Automotive in N. Canton, Ben Bush (owner) is a great guy and so is the rest of his crew. I'd also recommend Hardgrove Automotive in Canal Fulton.
