Default Akron, OH Kitten foster needed!!

If anyone in or surrounding the Akron area is interested in fostering or adopting fully vetted homeless kittens, please let me know. I've contacted 25 rescues. Everyone is full. I'm desperate.

All kittens will be vetted and posted on Petfinder. I will be handling everything for the adoptions, they just need a foster home to care for them. (Please read the full story below).

This is Precious, a very friendly and loving 3.5 year old unspayed female cat "belonging" to my neighbors. She is basically left outside 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. She had her first litter of kittens as soon as she was old enough to reproduce. Precious is a very small adult cat, likely a result of having kittens so young; her growth has been stunted. This makes it even more dangerous for her to become pregnant. Since April 2008 alone, Precious has given birth to four litters of kittens. Each litter was left outside, even in below freezing temperatures. Precious lives in the city near busy streets where careless drivers speed down the road. Last summer, one of Precious' kittens was struck and killed. Despite seeing the kitten lying in the street, Precious' owners did nothing to remove the kitten from the middle of the road. I picked the kitten up, and it was upon seeing its face that I decided to take in all of the remaining kittens to ensure they did not meet an untimely death. I have taken in every litter since then, vetted them and found them homes with the help of a local rescue.

These people are such ignorant, uncaring, idiots who should never be allowed to own animals. I gave them step-by-step info about getting her spayed at the low-cost spay/neuter clinic. They always have an excuse for why they cannot take her in. "I have to wait until I get a a second job." "We lent our cat carrier to someone." The "owners" are a single mother and her two young children. They do not have a lot of money, but I know they could have had her spayed a long time ago had they saved up. The low-cost clinic even offers further discounts to those who can show proof of needing financial assistance. This family is of the opinion, "It's just a cat, she's supposed to be outside. It's not big deal if she has kittens."

Because her owners refuse to ever get her spayed, I will be having her spayed next Friday. I am a poor college student and could not afford to do it earlier. I have received many kind donations from animal loving friends. Precious had a litter of kittens around 7 weeks ago. No rescue can take them. I cannot take them in because I am physically not allowed to bring any more kittens into my home. My family has 5 cats and 1 large dog who will attack kittens. I will be getting all of the kittens spayed/neutered this coming Friday. There is one long-haired gray kitten, one long-haired black kitten, one short-haired black kitten, and two short-haired tiger stripes. My family has adopted 4 of her kittens from previous litters and they are all wonderful, healthy cats.

Below are some of her kittens from previous litters:

The fact that these "owners" would let these innocent babies suffer is beyond me. One litter was even left outside in foot-high snow and below freezing temps, until I was notified they existed and took them in. If anyone out there can help me save this final litter, please let me know!![/quote]
