Massillon - bringing youth group and need info! (Akron, Canton: hotel, live)

I'm a chaperone for our church's youth group trip to a Christian music festival at Clay's Park this summer. We have hotel reservations in Massillon. Anybody familiar with the area who can tell us what to see and what to stay away from? I lived in Ohio for a number of years -- spent a fair amount of time in Akron, have been to the Hall of Fame in Canton, and passed through on I-77 a lot. Just not familiar with Massillon.

Appreciate any current info any of you can give me.

Went a few years ago with our son & it was awesome. There was a great canoe livery between Clays Park & Massillon if it's still there that was a lot of fun. Also, staying in Massillon your just north of the Amish area & you could tour Yoders Amish Farm there. Moody Warthers Museum is right off I-77 in Dover. Thursday nights the city of Massillon has free concerts downtown. Really don't know why your looking for other things than the festival. There is so much to do at it (concerts, speakers, games, magicians & other entertainment, swimming) I doubt you'd have much time for anything else! Have a great time at Alive!
