Exclamation A History Lesson Please

I am researching my geneology and I have come to an impass with regards to my 4th great grandfather.

According to a Florida Pension Claim my 4th great grandfather John Shelman Daniels fought in the Civil War from 1861 to 1865. Now In his pension claim he was born in Barbor County Alabama. According to some early census records his brother lists as being born in Louisville, Alabama. The Confederate Army records further indicates John was born in St. Vincints hospital.

I did some research online and found only one St Vincints Hospital for the state of Alabama that was in Birmingham. It's website indicated that it started in 1898. Which John was born in 1840, many years BEFORE.

My question is can anybody verify that there is/is not a St. Vincints hospital in Louisville, Alabama (Barbour County).
