Default Innovation Areas

Which cities in Alabama are best known for innovation and invention? These would typically be the cities with the most colleges and Universities that have technology-based programs (electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer programming, etc.).

Huntsville but they don`t have more colleges out of the other large metros in the state..And I really don`t think that they have the largest engineering program either.Huntsville lead the state because of industry which is full of reseacrh and tech.

In a nutshell, as far as industry with colleges and/or universities;
Huntsville for technology, read: Space/Computers/Engineering. Birmingham: Sciences, Medical

Auburn does have a good school with some great programs but the town itself isn't really known for the industry.
