Hmmm interesting.

I always thought that also.Well the older parts of the city does.I have family from from other cities that have said the same thing.I`m glad you and your wife enjoyed your stay I hope you guys come back and visit us again.When/if you guys do come back pick up a Bay Weekend magazine they are at every corner downtown. I sense that you are into live music and you will see that there are a lot of restaurants in Mobile that offer live music just about every day of the week. There is always some kind of Jazz or brass band from New Orleans playing at some sort of venue in the city. You got to love the NOLA Jazz culture and Mobilians seem to love the jazz vibe,LOL.

As for staying at a historic house well there are a few B&B`s in the historic districts. And you guys will have to check out Calligan`s Irish pub in the Oakleigh historic district. It sits right in the middle of what I believe is an Irish neighberhood.Just about every house on that street has an Irish flag flying in front of it.

Comeback again !
