Default Stevenson, AL

What can you tell me about Stevenson, AL? Are there a lot of outdoors opportunities in the area, things like horseback riding, hiking etc.? How is life there? What do people do for a living?

How about crime? I noticed that the city-data info has the crime at 2-3 times the national average until 2009 when all of a sudden it is 1/2 of the average? How come?

Thanks!
OD

Default Stevenson alabama

Well,I'm not knocking the place, but truth is there isn't really anything at Stevenson. It's between Scottsboro and I-24. Plenty of undeveloped country, the Tennessee river is close by. Dunno why the crime rate changed so dramatically, but I suspect an error. Likely they have the familiar problems with Meth, but I can't imagine it having a really serious crime rate. I dunno whether Stevenson even has a Police Dept. or not, but you might call the one at Bridgeport and talk with them.

Stevenson is very, very small. It has little crime, so that if just 1 thing happens, it skews the statistics.

Thank you both. So I can conclude it is very rural and out of the way.

It's about as "out of the way" as you get in North Alabama. Pretty area.
Yes, on the outdoor activities.
