Think I stated in another post that we live just ourside Dothan, circle by 10 miles, we bought a brand new home here, and right now we are the first ones.

There is a farm next to us and no one will build their, they are in process of building the house next door, should be ready by Nov and I was told it may go for 150k - 1650 sq ft - 3 BR - 2 BT - 2 car garage - screened in back room - fireplace - lot 100 x 200.

Property across the street was sold (100 acres) not sure of the plans - builder here has 34 acres and is planning on building more, but I do not expect to see a rapid growth, we are also in Geneva county and the property taxes are even less than Dothan.

I said we were 10 mile from the circle in Dothan, maybe 8 - 10 to nearest Hosp., maybe 7 mile from the FL/AL line - 80 mile to Panama City.

We looked in the city, but did not see anything that suited our needs or offer the privicy that we were looking for, and for a new home it suited our needs, the only two thing that we have a problem with are boating and the nite life, we got to go 110 mile round trip to the lake and the nite life that we have found so far sucks!

We have been here 2 months today and have doing a lot of landscapeing/deck and pool work outside almost done.

As far as builders I can put you in touch with my reator who knows most of them, but we are kind of getting used to living out in the country........
