Might want to look at the Athens/East Limestone County area as well, although it's somewhat flatter there than on the east side of the state. I would think acreage should still be available north of and close in to Athens. The ride to the Huntsville airport should be about the same amount of time as from Hartselle.

commute....we need acreage and would like to have our children
in a christian school......I miss the southern charm my town used
to have....but no longer....it has grown so big that It now takes
me 45 minutes to go 7 miles to where my kids school is located...
that's right (7 miles).....please help...
we are honest, friendly hard working people that just want to find
a nice area to live in.....I read up on some areas like Hartselle,
Danville, Joppa and came across Grant..... I am thinking of a town
of 15,000 or less....any ideas....acreage is a must!!
thanks for any help you can give me....

There is a Chrisian school is Crossville, the name is Beth Haven Christian Academy. They have a web site. Crossville, Geraldine, Groveoak are all small towns close to the school and close enough to Huntsville Airport. Guntersville State Park is close by also.Georgeous country. My neighbors 2 doors down, which actually is about a few acres apart have moved up from Florida. It's is very peacefull and quiet and roomy around here. Check us out!

Hey Hartselle is a great place for Antique Hunters, the Main street is full of dealers,
Schools are really wonderful if you are looking for a slow pace country life style it is the best, if you are from up North you will find them friendly but will take some time to enter the iner circle of the country club folks.
