I'm looking to move my family to Andalusia, Al and am hoping to get some tips on decent neighborhoods out there. I have never been there but, doing a lot of research online and talking to people in the area has made me fall in love with the town. My husband and I just want a safe place to raise our kids with good schools and good people. We are coming from a very large city and know that this will be an adjustment. I have seen multiple houses on Auburn Ave. and Abel Ave. and am getting mixed info about whether these areas are safe places to raise our kids. Anyone have any info that would help make the decision any easier? I am flying out there in a few months and would like to have an idea before I get out there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure we have anyone who lives in Andalusia. Maybe someone will answer who does know the area, but wanted to be sure you saw this. Seems like a good area with not a lot of crime.

Default Visit

I'm not familiar with Abel Avenue in Andalusia. There is an Abel Avenue in Gantt, north of Andalusia. There are some nice places to live on Gantt Lake and Point A Lake (reservoirs on the Conecuh River). There are some other nice places to live in Andalusia and in areas just outside of Andalusia.

Andalusia is a nice small town. It isn't a bad drive to Dothan, Pensacola, Montgomery, Enterprise, Troy, Crestview, Fort Walton Beach, Destin, etc., if you want to drive to a larger town or city.
