fairhope,alabama what do you think
I live in north idaho (sandpoint) and my family wants to move south,we have been looking for 2years from north and south carolina,GA,FL, when we came across AL and the mobile area. We all have a great feeling about this place. My wife is from FL,and i from CA. so we kinda remember what beach life was about.I been told by my Dr. to try and find a warm place to live, I'v broken so so many bones racing motocycle and sleds. what we want is the kinda life we have up hear,a somewhat small town fealing, green grass, trees, and a house that not almost touching the next house. And the bigest thing of all we have to be close to fishing, my three sons say they wont move to a place without this. money is not a problem but we would like to stay under 300,000 so we can by a new boat. Is this area of AL, what we been looking for. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts.

IF one Must live in this area I suppose Fairhope beats Mobile. It's at least cleaner. I was just there on Friday doing some shopping. Not much to do there for my taste. Not sure there is even a movie theater but I could be wrong. No bowling alley even. Homes are pretty there. If you expect/want heat then this area of the world is the place you will find it and pretty much year round.
Personally I prefer seasonal weather.

Hi! I visit South Alabama quite often and have found that Spanish Fort seems to be a great place to live. Good schools, nice people, close proximity to Mobile, Gulf Shores,Florida and MS...etc. Fairhope is a beautiful and lovely town but it seems to lean more towards a retirment community and there is not much at all in the way of activities there. Check out some of the other towns in that area...I think you will be pleased with what you read...visit there also....I think your kids would like the area and yes there is great fishing down that way! :-)

Well, unless you have a lot of money to live in a nice home, go to Fairhope. But if you want a really nice area with great schools, move to Spanish Fort!
