Renting a cabin in the Little River Canyon or Mentone areas of NE Alabama is pretty cool. Little River Canyon is really impressive with a depth of about 600ft. DeSoto State Park is really nice as well. The falls there are beautiful. There is lots of great hiking and sightseeing to be done, plus a lot of arts and crafts in Mentone.
