I am looking for some information on the history of Weiss Lake and Yellow Creek areas. Such as Railroads, native (indian) tribes, old maps of this area, roads, etc....I am new to the area and I am really interested in the history of this area of Alabama. I would love to get any INFO or suggestions on were I could get some info. Thank you

Don't know if last msg got through.
Know a little about the railroad of that time.
My grandfather was killed in an accident crossing Yelloy Creek in May 1924

My wife's grandfather helped build the railroad trestle at Yellow Creek. There is a legend that there is a train engine buried in Round Mountain.

No. My father-in-law grew up at Round Mountain, so he knows all this info.
