Thanks 3step

Most of the Cuban food I have had was not spicy but then maybe it was Americanized but a lot of Cubans ate in the restaurants.

I have a hard time finding Chorizo (dried) up here. I do make my son bring me some from Tampa when he comes up here.

@@@Keeper

Drooooooool! Can he bring extra?
I finally discovered deer jerky and have gone into serious production. It has to get eaten somehow, does it not?
Christmas Hysteria is approaching rapidly. I love contractors - next doors!!! Walls were supposed to be removed, doors set, windows replaced, glas sections added ... The only one on schedule is the painter - me! Anyone interested in venetian palster? Great material, unbelievable options but not cheap. I will gladly share information. To top it off - inlaws, outlaws, notseenforageslaws - we seem to be running a B&B. At least TwoStep, the sofatiger, is fine.
One thing about food in the US and this is personal experience, not a statement. Spices often consist of salt/pepper. :>(

May I gripe for a minute?
What is it with "AL is a cheap place to live in, small town 101 but top schools, jobs are no problem because we are coming anyway, but we do not like your way of doing business nor your way of life"??? Has anyone been grocery shopping in BHam lately?

Good.. I could have taken it if no one else would but I have a kitten right now who needs a home. Plus I have dogs who are fine with cats but I don't know how the cat will react.

I am involved in animal rescue up here too.
