I had no idea Nordstrom was headed our way! Fancy Shmancy! I think it'll be well received. Now if I can only get my neck of the woods (almost-into-Argo-area-of-Trussville) to build something other than a beauty parlor, dry cleaner, insurance agency, or mini-storage (or shall I say "many storge").

I already did that. That is what led me to City Data in the first place. I was composing an e-mail to them and thought it might help to cite some statistics on CA transplants to the area. A google search led me here.

I never got a response to my e-mail though. Not even a standard courtesy e-mail back saying something like "your e-mail has been received" or "thank you for your interest".
I wonder if I could call their corp office and see if anyone could tell me if they are at least considering Birmingham in the future.

If they do ever come to town, I hope they don't plop one down on 280.

From what I understand, TJ's is VERY hush-hush about their next location and don't announce until absolutely everything is official and confirmed.

I never got an answer either....and yes virtually all retailers are very very hush hush about speculation concerning where they are locating next....all we can do is encourage others to write and hope for the best....
