What attracted you to Albertville?

I personally would not live there. There is nothing remarkable about the town, and it has pretty much been taken over by Mexicans working in the area poultry industry. You can probably get real estate at a reasonable price, though.

Guntersville, which is about 10 miles north of Albertville, is nicer because it is on a lake. Unfortunately, real estate is a lot pricier, and will get even more so over the next 2-3 years as the government is moving a large military program from Washington DC to north Alabama.

Huntsville, which is about 50 miles north of Albertville, might be a nice place to retire to. It is a town of about 200,000, and there are lots of things to do. Real estate prices there will also be affected by the move from DC, so if you are even remotely interested, you would want to buy fairly soon.
