Question Baldwin County: Sales tax rate; Property Tax Exemptions over 65 y.o.
Having trouble pulling this information up on the net:

1. What is Baldwin County's sales tax rate? What would be the tax on food then?
2. What are the property tax exemptions for those over 65 in Baldwin County?

Sales tax rate is around 8-9%. I'm not sure about Baldwin County, but here where I live in neighboring Escambia County some seniors are exempt from paying property taxes at all.

Property tax info for seniors.
Baldwin County Alabama

Sales tax is 8% in Foley. There is no exemption for food in AL. although I have heard they have been discussing it in Montgomery
