It all depends. That area is primarily rural and the people have that outlook. The people are mostly good, down to Earth country people. The area has never been exactly prosperous, but no one is starving to death either. Country people can sometimes be a bit shy around strangers, so you may have to join some of the local organizations to get acquainted, but you will shortly become one of the crowd. Just be yourself and don't "put on airs".Nothing is ever perfect, but living there just might be a pleasant experience.
