has any one ever heard that you can not walk around no matter where you are in alabama if you do not have some kind of id on yourself?

No, never heard of that. Almost nobody walks in Alabama anyway because of the lack of sidewalks (unless you're in the city, which you probably do not want to be in) combined with the rampant obesity and general malaise of the population at large (at large, get it? ), but I'd never been stopped and asked for ID during any of the hundreds of miles I've run there and I can't expect I would have been if I was walking.

I have never head anything of the sort. I assume if you do walk in the bad areas - then you may very well be stopped and questioned. (??) As far as having to carry ID..its not mandatory. Be careful where you walk...you just never know these days..not just Alabama but that is anywhere!
