Did anyone else notice earlier, in an interview, that John Archibald mentioned two companies that were supposed to meet with Governor Bentley about relocating to the state.....canceled due to the drama? Hopefully, this doesn't mean that we lost that opportunity completely.

I didn't notice that, but I have to say that John Archibald is one of the few real journalists left in the industry, IMO. Generally he has a good even and accessible writing style, stays on topic, raises valid and important points. I might not always agree with him, but I find him to be impressive overall in his depth of research and depth of understanding of issues.

That sucks for The Huntsville. Looks like they'll just have to hold on and deal with Kay Ivey.

I agree, he is very consistent and logical, with a lot of insight.

I don't know why anyone is surprised by Bentley's action, his wife divorced him recently from out of the blue, at least it appeared that way. Me thinks this wasn't Bentley's first rodeo.....

I hope his actions do not reflect negatively on Alabama, powers that be should be able to see that Bentley is NOT Alabama and hi actions should not reflect on the hard workers of Alabama! He was never a popular gov'na anyway!

Well it might already be too late for at least two companies.

Ford said members of the governor's own cabinet told him two potential businesses considering relocation in Alabama cancelled their appointments to avoid the glare of Bentley's own embarrassment.

Let's note that the 'Ford' mentioned by Tourian is Democrat Representative and House Minority Leader Craig Ford, who claims he 'heard' about it...
