Question is it possible to find a job as a teacher's assistant right now?

Do you think it is possible to get a job right now (not the beginning of a school year)?

I need to get a job asap, but most of the positions posted are for the next school year only... it's 5 more months...

Is there even any need for teacher's assistants, substitutes in Northern Alabama?? (I live 50 miles from Hunstville)

I am getting frustrated (I've been applying online for the last 3 months and no response)....

Any ideas?

Thanks!!!
