No acceptance
As someone raised in Alabama, you will most likely NOT be accepted. There are a ton of racist rednecks down here and anyone with brown skin is treated differently. If you are able to, you may want to reconsider moving anywhere in the southeast, where the Klan is alive and well. I plan to move away because this backwards area is NOT open-minded or accepting of anyone different from them (WASPs).

Quit watching so much TV. The klan is not "alive and well". Have you personally seen someone dressed in a sheet and pointy hat? When was the last time there was a cross burning in YOUR neighborhood? This is so stupid.  |

There was a recent Klan rally on the courthouse steps in Athens. The Klan used to hand out pamphlets on the Athens square. I've lived in Bama for over 25 years, so I speak from experience. They don't have to wear sheets or burn crosses to be alive and well. Moderator cut: insult Wake up!!!

Klan protests Klan Rally
rae rae - the Alabama Klan protested the Indiana Klan group that held the Athens Rally.
See, our (Alabama) Klan is tolerant and loving...

rae rae - I'm sorry you misunderstood. I was making fun of you.
There are like three Klansmen in Alabama and the only time they've protested is against a rival Klan. Your post is one of the stupidest, er, least tolerant, posts I've seen in the Alabama forum (only equalled by your other posts).
The sooner you leave, the happier you will be; you sure aren't happy here...

Wow, might I suggest you folks calm down from calling each other names? This isn't my forum to moderate, I'm just making a request. I think a rational discussion without calling each other names would be more productive.

rae rae, I know of several places in Alabama where the black panthers congregate (listed as hate group by SPLC), should I get on here and recommend that whites not move to Alabama because of the "racist blacks"? It's a two way street ya know.
