I don't know any details about the place, but I do know where it is located. It is about 15 minutes outside of Tuscumbia going towards Russellville, practically sitting in the middle of nowhere. There is nothing but woods around it and it looks like a campground. They have sports fields and a few buildings.

I know that this helps none, but I thought I'd throw that out there.

Default Restoration Ranch

The Mission Teens Website is down right now but should be up shortly. Restoration Ranch is a Branch of the Mission Teens Inc. there are 13 centers scattered through several states the main office is in New Jersey. What information are you needing to know? They are Christ-Centered and they help the desperate and give hope to the hopeless through the direction of Christ.

Default Thanks

Thank you for all your information, it is well appreciated. To answer some of your questions:

My son is looking to go there for help, I have a cousin that went there and says they care about the people who go there for help. Some of the treatment facilities we have checked into seem to treat the people like inmates instead of help seekers and we have been looking at alternative types of treatment. We don't have alot of money, and some of them want thousands of dollars for one month. While he knows he needs help, he is also worried about how I am going to pay for it and I would like to take that worry out of the equation if I can. We live in Iowa but have relatives in Tuscumbia which is why we are looking there for help.
I was hoping to look on the website so we had a better idea of what to expect and the environment he would be living in. Also about the fee breakdown so maybe I could find a way to pay them to for his time there.

Default Restoration Ranch

You can go to the missionteens.com site now it is up and you will find the address and phone number there. This year will be 18 years for me to have graduated the program and I can tell you from experience that there is so much love in the centers sometimes you just get overwhelmed by it. I use to teach a couple classes out there twice a week and it was a blessing for me and a joy. There is a center in Iowa. They do not charge. The program is 8-10 months. There are steps one has to go through to get in. So please call and talk to the overseer at the Ranch or at any center of your choice.

Be Blessed,

Someonewhocares

Default Thank you

Thank You all for your response to my thread. As it stands right now my son is in Prairie Ridge here in Iowa because he is on probation and his PO would only ok certain places for him to attend. My only worry is that it is a 21 day program which I don't think is long enough but we will see. He seems to be doing good there and likes it. Maybe when his probation is over we will be able to move closer to Restoration Ranch where he can avail himself of the excellence of there program.
Congradulations on your sobriety, Someonewhocares, I am sure it was not an easy road you have been on. God bless you for all the work you have done to help people in the same situation.
Bless all of you,
Barbie

Barbie, I just wanted to fill you in on Restoration Ranch from what I know about it. A friend of mine completed 8-10 months of their program and has been clean now for apprx. 3-4 yrs. My husband was there for 4 months. They do care about you there. If and when your son goes there, you will feel the love as soon as you get there. Anyway, my husband went there on his own free will. Of course, this is a Christian rehab center and they do have to pray and decide if they will accept you first.

I have nothing but good to say for them. Best of luck with your son. I have a son in rehab and know the concern for his best interest that you have. You can e-mail me if you'd like at salliegoodie@hotmail.com

I can't tell you about the one in ala, but the Missions teens in Marked Tree, Ark is wonderful! I have only been familiar with it for 1-month, but what I have seen is amazing! Its solely operated by donations from church and who ever wants to donate to this program. Every One there is volunteering there time free! I saw a for my own eyes last nite at a Thankgiving Play what a miracle Mission Teens offers to trouble young adults. They help the youth by showing them that God is the only answer to a new way of life. It is a 8-10 month program and I think If someone really wants help this is the answer, Its not a country club but believe me I was so inspired by what I saw last nite, I would reccomend Teen Missions to any parent who needs to get there child help!
