most of the older wood frame homes are in town and falling down. the ones that are junky looking are just right out side of the city the ones u see first when u get off the I-65. the well kept up homes are further out from town with nice yards. there are mobile homes here and some of them are kept up good compare to some thats not. i rather have more subdivisions than run down homes and builds that could be turned into apartments for ppl to rent. this town needs a major miracle to help it get back to what it was with the homes and builds and maybe bring news ones in this town for ppl to work in/at. thats what it needs. i think we all can agree that this town needs a major face lift.

No, I graduated from FDA in 1981. Knew a good many people from SBA, though. Still good friends with two who left SBA in 1980 and graduated with me. You are a good bit younger than me, apparently, finishing school about 1990?

I played baseball with several boys from Georgiana.

Default I love Georgiana

I live in Memphis, TN and have all of my life. But....I have the greatest memories of the summers in Georgiana with my grandma. I am 39 and actually stayed and attended Georgiana High School one year. My dad still lives there and I have other family there as well. Now, to me, I personally would love to live there and am planning to do so. The crime rate in Memphis has sky rocketed! I have children and the school system here has also gotten to be unsafe for our kids. I feel like my kids would be able to really get out and play and be kids there. The safety factor alone puts Georgiana on top. The fact that my children will be safer in school there is also another big deal.I REALLY enjoy being in Georgiana. Whenever I visit there I have the hardest time leaving. And to me......it hasn't lost it's friendly charm.

I went to school there in 1986 I think. I was just there in July. I was also there in June of this year and around March. I am pretty sure that we may know each other. Like I said, I have LOTS of family there. You may even be related to me! I stayed in Hickory Hill with my grandma when I went to school there. Sorry it took me so long to reply. I thought I would get an email or something letting me know if someone replies to my post.
