Good Intentions is on a distinguished road
Georgiana is not all bad - You don't have to look over your shoulder nor do you really have to worry about serious crime. The people in Georgiana for the most part have good intentions - and they care about their neighbor. There is a new magnet school, a successful medical community, and the Hank Williams Museum and park. The new four lane highway will open up some excellent areas for new business - I can think of a lot of places worse than Georgiana.

if u think that its good here then why is international paper closing??? why is one of the gas stations here closing?????? why are ppl steeling stuff now?????? you tell those whp are loosing their jobs that its a good place to live at or maybe u can tell the families that have lost loved ones to cancer that its a good place to live in....
if all of ya'll that think this town is a good place to live in lived here for more than a day or two then ya'll see how bad it really is here.....

It's like that everywhere right now. Georgia-Pacific also cut jobs in Monroe County due to the bad economy and lack of construction.

bamagirl sounds somewhat bitter - Cancer hits everywhere - Georgiana does not give someone cancer - Bad attitudes are what ruin places to live - Maybe you need to climb out of your computer and try to help if you think Georgiana is such a horrible place to live.

first of all i do not live in a computer. second if ppl here did want this place to change dont u think we all would be apart of that change and yes that includes me too. yes this town does make u sick. dont belive me then move here and see what i mean.
as far as the houses here they are not beautiful at all. they are run down and i have seen this homes for years. the way i can put it bout these ppl here are like this at first they are but after a while they not nice to u.....if ya'll think im lieing bout everything then so be it...live here for more than a day or a week then ya'll will see what all im saying is true...

some ppl here are nice and some aren't......beautiful view u got to be joking.........small town is right but becoming a ghost town at the same time....
question for all: how many of u all live here now??????? i dont mean like along time ago or just pass threw here but real do live in this town......
