No doubt. I totally agree. I said they were about the same in my first post on this thread. I actually think Auburn is a better school, but that's just my opinion. I honestly don't think that it matters where you go to school(as long as it's acredited). With the way that this economy is you can't get a job in certain fields no matter where you graduated from.

Yes, it's funny that someone would use a forum like this to ask about a university. Seems like they would go to many of the established websites/forums that are devoted to that. Heck, they could also use the information provided from the admissions office at the school or their guidance counselor.

since you seem convinced i am just trying to stir up controversy, i am not. i didnt post anything like this between any other two schools. i have visited both and read all the info, but i wanted some objective advice not published from the school. this site is very responsive and i thought i would get good advice (which i did). if i wanted to stir up controversy, i could have asked whos gonna win the game between the schools. thanks for those who gave useful info.

If you read my post, you'll see I didn't say you were trying to stir up controversy. I'm not "convinced" of anything. You may want to go to a site like college confidential to find out info on schools. You'll probably find better info there than on a board that is devoted, primarily, to folks from other places looking to move to Alabama.

Yes, it was I suggesting that you were stirring up controversy. As you can see, football is just PART of the big rivalry that sharpens both schools!

I am re-opening the thread, however let's keep the rivalry out. UA and AU are both excellent schools. Stay on topic and please report any post that violates the Terms of Service.
