Red Bay & Florence area in NW Alabama.
Just spent about 4 days in that area watching my brother's Tiffin motorhome be built. I was very impressed by the area and am interested in average real estate prices & things to do. I'm looking for a place to retire. |

It's a lovely, quiet area. A little bit depressed economically, but a railcar plant is supposed to be built. The University of North Alabama and Northwest Shoals Community College offer higher education opportunities. Lots of water recreation.
I believe ValleyMLS.com covers the area, but they may have a different mls over there. |

Florence is definitely a retirement town . . . even though it should be a college town.
