Thank Goodness "The Tide" were not on the same day as NASCAR from Bristol. Shucks, I'd have to buy 2 TV's. GOD is good...

Charles, honey, that don't mean nothin' around here! USC = University of South Carolina (Gamecocks, as in "Go Cocks!"), and Trojans refers to Troy University....

Charles, I knew it was USC.

My partner went to the Georgia and I went to Tulane (GO GREEN WAVE!!!! - We sucked in football . . . ), so I don't even talk to my family about football. Everyone in my family graduated from Alabama (for undergraduate anyway). I was the first one to go outside of Alabama for my undergrad degree.

I knew it was the University of Southern California.
But in the Southeast, USC usually means the University of South Carolina. Unless, of course, the USC Trojans are playing Alabama or Auburn, which hasn't happened for a long time.

the OP says-----"Jacksonville State vs Georgia Tech on Thursday"

Sounds like an early season mis-match

I looked it up. Alabama is one of the few universities (Notre Dame is another) with which USC has a losing record against. (Interesting they played Alabama four times in nine years.)
