It's tiny but has a cute downtown with typical antique shops, real shopping is 35 minutes away in Huntsville and Decatur has decent shopping 20 minutes away.

I live in Cullman, and work in Huntsville (45 minute commute).
Great smaller city, 45 minutes from both Huntsville and Birmingham. Very low crime, growing at a manageable rate.

I have notice you in your postings that you strongly recommend Cullman. I am actually looking at a propterty listed there with Rise Realty. Can you please tell me a little more about Cullman, i.e.: school system, medical facilities, etc. I was wondering also if most folks like you commute to Huntsville to work? The place we are looking at is out in the country and I am a little concerned about being too far removed from civilization and I really haven't learned how close neighbors would be as we have little ones for whom I would like to develop friendships and a "social life" with others their age. LOL! I read in another post that Arab is a nice comunity as well. Thank you for any guidance you may provide.
