Default I need to find my background!

My great-great grandmother was a fool blooded creek indian. Her white name was Alzadie Silas. I would really like to find out what her indian name was and who her parents and grandparents were. If you can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

there are ancestry websites that you can get help and connect with relatives. A DNA test would also help to find close relatives. This website will not be much help I am afraid.

Talk to older memebers of your family. Hit google. Which Creek tribe was she a member of? Even the geographic location can help. Most tribes have either pretty good web sites or a designated member handling tribal rolls.

There is an Creek tribe in Atmore and they have a web page and you can contact www.poarchcreekindians.org them but without you knowing what her indian name was I don't know how much help they would be able to get you. That being said if your great great grandmother was married in AL you might be able to find a record of the marriage license using your the grooms name at http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/al...bia/vitals.htm. There are also census websites where you can search for family names. I found my great great great grandfather and children listed there. It is a place to start
Good Luck in your search
