Get used to it. Raceweek in Talladega does not mean cars going around a track - it is a way of life for some.

Fully aware of what it means to others, fully fully aware. Everyone I know is into Nascar, my family bleeds it. I just can't get used it being hit in the back of the head by chicken bones.

For my guys it means work. So I get the inside scoope hot and unscensored. I had my fill at Richmond - one race and everything was included from fires, accidents, preachers to kids.
What do you mean by being hit by chicken bones? Too many 007 movies?
Currently on three chairs - BHam, Dallas, Djakarta. Life has it's high points. |

Chicken bones...the only race I went to was Martinsville and when I was clunked in the head with a chicken bone, that was a little much.

Oh gosh J--, I thought I mentioned it. It was one of the chief reasons I was having a melt down. The gov will put him up but he had to find the hotel. Me...well I've booked about an hr. away, have no idea what that will look like when the dust clears...The Chamber of Comm was a bit helpful but in the end I found a hotel thru Expedia. There are rooms available but you have to really expand the search.

the race is the weekend of 10/5...lincoln has a comfort inn, pell city has hampton and holiday inn express...i also found a natural foodf store in pell city, it's called Stan's on 34 east (just east of 231)
