Default Trying something new

Thanks for all the feed back that I have received from everyone, I'm trying to be patient and get myself together before I make that move.

ABravesFan, I feel like you as far as the wheteher is concerned, but I'm going to give it all up and I'm sure I will get ajusted and be much happier for it. I received some other emails with some information, like email address and such that will be of great help to me along with the information that you guys are giving me. Everybodys being so helpfull that it's reconfirming my decision to make that move, it may not be all that I'm used to but as I look around that's a good thing.

OK Senior citizen here.. I bought a house in a small town 30 miles south of H'ville last year for less than 80K for 1480 sq ft brick older home with 1/2 acrea lot. House was in very good condition. You can buy a newer larger brick home for less than 200K . My taxes last year were 154.00.. Very little traffic or crime which was important to me. If you reply to the email I sent you in this forum I will send you pictures so you can see it is not a dump or a fixer upper.
There is a new senior citizen center here also. I am not a realtor just trying to help out another SC

You can certainly find a home here for 80,000 to 120,000. You can also find a few 45,000.00 homes here but you wouldn't want to move right into it....

As Keeper said above if you get just a little out of town prices get more reasonable. Toney , Gurley and Owens Cross Roads,New Hope all come to mind.
