We were just near the Noccalula (sp?) Falls area for the 127 Yardsale and found it to be quite pretty. The park itself was very nice and the surrounding countryside is just lovely.
Another really pretty part of the state is near Cullman. If you like "antiquing" you'll like Cullman

This thread is full of some really fascinating scenery of your beautiful southern state. I did not realize Alabama had so much diversity in topography and vegetation. Thanks for sharing and hope to see the pics continue to roll in!

It is not a public park. It's a private natural conservancy. Camping and cabins are available, but it's also neat for a day trip

monte sano state park is real nice, i love that drive up there from downtown. huntsville doesn't do a good job promoting that like nooga does lookout mountain.

alabama defintely is a pretty state, i figured it was all flat with pine trees like the low country in sc, but it has nice rolling terrain.

Considering a trip to New Orleans with an excursion to the Alabama Gulf Coast. What is the most pristine (not overly developed) and scenic beach to visit?
