Wow a post out of the blue!!!

My best guess for LIMESTONE bluffs would be in Talladega County in the Sylacauga area.

Now as for other bluffs, (made of rock) they are located in many many locations in North Alabama, starting south of Birmingham and running through the northern part of the state....

Eat at the Bright Star in Bessemer, Al .............then tour the area and check out the Historic Homes. Also, just across the iterstate from Bessemer is Hueytown, Al.............home of Bobby, Donnie, Davey and Clifford Allison also Red Farmer, Neil Bonnett and David Bonnett.

agree with steveklein. i will use info by harry chickpea to tour ne alabama. have lived in mobile all my life and i want to escape the humidity when i retire. started looking in western north carolina, but property values are twice that of alabama. when i was younger i loved gulf shores, now i love the mountains. thanks, harry chickpea for reply to dekalb county.

Back on topic.. you should check out NE AL. I was born and raised in Mobile, but didn't want to live there after living in FL. It is beautiful up here and you have 4 seasons. You can get to the gulf in 5 hours or less or Smokey mountains are a few hours up the road.
The only thing I really miss is the seafood. I still go home to get fried crab claws or west indies salad. I miss grouper from FL but you can get grouper at a few fish markets up here.

I live in the Pell City area, and it's a GREAT place to live. If you haven't yet found a place to which you'd like to move, consider Pell City.

The Southwestrn part of Alabama has all of the good Cajun sea food restaurants you need !
