Default coatal vacation areas

Are there any costal vacation areas with beachs on the Gulf? Went to Panama City Fl a few years ago and had to drive through Ala to get there. Any help appreciated.

You might get a state map and study it.
We have gorgeous, fabulous beaches - Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Perdido east of Mobile Bay; Dauphin Island on the west side of Mobile Bay. They are uncrowded, and the lodging rates are cheaper than Florida. These are family-oriented spots, so you don't have the wild college crowds that haunt Panama City.
