If you don't get any replies, I will move your post to either B'ham or H'ville forum.

Well, apparently there is some sort of bus service available to individuals with low income. We have something like that here in Morgan County. You might find the NACLOG phone number on their site and call them for details: NACOLG--Northwest Alabama Council of Local Governments
Alabama cities simply don't have extensive bus systems. I know it's a problem for folks who don't drive.

SL is right, there is no bus system in most smaller cities. Here in Marshall county there is a volunteer group who takes ppl to doc appts. I believe most ppl who don't drive rely on family or friends to take them to the doctor.
You might want to check out Huntsville, they do have a bus system, although it is lacking from reports I have seen. Not sure about Decatur, SL could tell you.

Decatur only has a similar arrangement to Florence. Sometimes churches supplement, and if you're in assisted living, they usually have some sort of van - but forget getting out if you're in a wheelchair. I only found two assisted living facilities here that had wheelchair-accessible vans, but the wheelchair functions on both were broken and they had no plan to have it fixed.
Sorry you have not had more response! We just don't have any folks on here from that area right now.
