Default Checks cashed here...........!?

Thats it, allow "check cashing here" and pawn shops in your neighborhood. Now watch it decline before your very eyes.I came to Shelby county 14 years ago because my hometown was no longer safe.I just happened to ponder the things that led to this. That was one of them.I have no data to back it up, just my opinion, my observation.
I believe in a free market, capitalism and less government. The target customers of these places are not, as a blanket stament, all bad. However, many are unscrupulous to say the least.First come the crackheads, then the prostitutes, then the addicts who have to rob and steal into your neighborhoods. You might as well post a big sign, "welcome crackheads".
I know this opinion might anger some, if it does, Whats your address? That will usually reveal their hypocrisy.Pelham will be no different than that city up I-65 soon.
Its time for city government to find some testicular fortitude and think about cause and effect before letting anybody or thing do bussiness here. All they seem to think of is raising revenue for the city, no matter what the cost.
